— Questions
Questions breeders ask
Is Kinbred an escrow service?
No. Kinbred is not a bank and not escrow. Stripe charges each milestone when its evidence is accepted and pays the stud owner two days later. Kinbred keeps the record.
What does Kinbred Verified actually check?
Five things, each dated: the owner's identity, a video of the animal reviewed by Kinbred, the microchip, the registration papers and the photos. Anyone can look up the checks with the Kinbred ID.
What if there is no pregnancy?
Pregnancy and birth are contract conditions, not charges. If progesterone timing was logged, the contract offers a return service.
Who pays the Kinbred fee?
The female's owner: 10% of the stud fee for dogs (min $79, max $750), 10% for cats (min $49, max $150) and 5% for horses (min $49, max $400). The first 100 Founding Sires pay 0% for life.
Can unregistered animals be booked?
Paid bookings need registry numbers for both animals. The free tools — COI calculator, breed guide, ID lookup — work for everyone.
Where is Kinbred available?
Texas and Florida first, in English, Arabic and French. Dogs are open; horses are in beta.
